Following the tremendous success of “Single Fare 2,” Michael Kagan, Jean-Pierre Roy and RH Gallery are pleased to announce “Single Fare 3,” an exhibition of artwork on New York City MTA MetroCards (for which I submitted 4 Metrocard art pieces today!!! )

Inspired by the notion that the city’s subways and buses allow for a kind of creative interchange unmatched in human history, the first “Single Fare” sought to create a unique art event where art and artists could come together to form a monumental event made from a tiny, innocuous piece of plastic: The MetroCard!

Single Fare 3 promises to deliver an even more exciting exhibition with more art, more artists and new ways to view and enjoy the work.

Opening next Wednesday, February 13, 2013 6pm - 9pm at the RH Gallery (137 Duane St, New York, New York 10013) it would be awesome if anyone in the NY area could check it out!

Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be
wise to the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. Cynicism masquerades as
wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don’t learn
anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the
world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say
no. But saying “yes” begins things. Saying “yes” is how things grow. Saying
“yes” leads to knowledge. “Yes” is for young people. So for as long as you have
the strength to, say “yes'.

For anyone who's ever wanted an original Pics of Peps (picture of Peppermint) I'm now selling my drawings on Etsy under the store PicsofPeps (Etsy has this weird policy where you can't link to their site directly). These are not part of the yearlong Pics of Peps project, but instead stuff that's been created since it ended last December. Such as:

So if you've ever pined for Peppermint to hang in your house now that dream can be a reality!

It's not a picture of Peppermint but if you just happen to have been tirelessly waiting for the adventures of an art-loving, one-toothed, 1,000 year old vampire who’s obsessed with John Singer Sargent’s painting the Daughters of Edward Boit to come out, my first novel, Sfumato, was just published as a multi-format ebook by Smashwords!!!
For anyone game, it’s free to download. Would Love to hear what you think!
